Dr. Masi Reynolds

Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer

Helping people reclaim the lives they love, and build bodies capable of carrying them even farther. That simple mission has guided Dr. Masi Reynolds throughout his career as a board-certified orthopedic sports medicine surgeon, regenerative medicine specialist, and co-founder of NORTH Performance.

His patients include Olympic medalists, world champions, professional athletes, founders, executives, military professionals, and active individuals from around the world, seeking more than a diagnosis. A trusted partner in building long-term health, resilience, performance, and quality of life.

Residency trained through Henry Ford Health, one of the nation's premier orthopedic programs, Reynolds completed advanced fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Sports Orthopedics and Rehabilitation (SOAR) refining his approach under internationally recognized mentors including Dr. Marc Philippon and Dr. Michael Dillingham. He has served as team physician for the San Francisco Giants, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University, and Oakland Roots SC, as well as adjunct faculty for Stanford sports medicine fellowship.

At NORTH, Reynolds brings his belief that exceptional outcomes require far more than technical excellence, they require an understanding of biology, movement, recovery, nutrition, and mindset — to the science behind our products. Developing evidence-based formulas that support longevity, recovery, resilience, and athletic performance for people who refuse to slow down.

For Dr. Reynolds, the true measure of success is helping someone return to the mountains they love, the waves they've missed, the adventures that still lie ahead. Quality of life is the north star. Everything else is simply a means of helping people live it fully.

Dr. Robert Hyldahl

Head Scientific Advisor

Dr. Robert Hyldahl is an Associate Professor of Exercise Sciences at Brigham Young University and Associate Professor in the BYU School of Medicine. An internationally recognized scientist in skeletal muscle biology, his work focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern muscle damage, inflammation, repair, and adaptation following exercise and injury. His research has advanced the scientific understanding of how skeletal muscle recovers from strenuous exercise and how these processes change with ageing, ultimately helping identify strategies to optimize recovery, performance, and long-term musculoskeletal health.

Throughout his career, Dr. Hyldahl has sought to bridge fundamental scientific discovery with practical application. His laboratory investigates the interactions between muscle fibers, immune cells, connective tissue, and stem cells during stress recovery, with a particular emphasis on how nutrition and other therapeutic modalities can influence the body's response to stress. This translational approach allows discoveries made in the laboratory to inform evidence-based recommendations for athletes, active individuals, and ageing populations. Dr. Hyldahl has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications in leading international journals and has been widely cited by scientists around the world. He remains actively committed to high-quality scientific discovery via collaborations with clinicians and industry partners to translate basic science into practical strategies that improve human health and performance.

An avid skier, competitive mountain biker, and lifelong outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Hyldahl also has a firsthand appreciation of the physical demands placed on the body during high level training and competition. His personal experiences complement decades of research investigating how muscles respond to mechanical stress and recover from repeated stress.

As Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board for NORTH Performance Supplements, Dr. Hyldahl provides scientific leadership and oversight for research strategy, product development, and clinical evaluation. His role is to ensure formulations and claims are grounded in robust scientific evidence while advancing innovative, safe, and effective solutions to enhance human performance. By ensuring every product is informed by credible scientific evidence, he helps NORTH Performance bridge cutting-edge performance science with practical nutritional solutions that enable individuals to recover faster, perform better, and extend optimal healthspan.

Dr. Claudia Bouvier

DO

Dr. Claudia Bouvier is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician whose view of medicine has always been twofold: to help people heal when they are sick, and to help them optimize their health so they can perform, recover, and live at their fullest. With a career spanning elite athletics, frontline emergency care, and global health, she brings a rare, whole-person perspective to performance and longevity.

Long before medicine, Dr. Bouvier’s passion for performance played out on the mountain. She spent years as a professional alpine skier, competing internationally in slopestyle, halfpipe, and big mountain skiing while filming and working with brands across the sport. That same drive carried into her education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, followed by her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency in Columbus, Ohio, and later a Global Health Fellowship at the University of Utah.

Today, Dr. Bouvier serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Utah, where she practices emergency department. In addition she travels to work with the Indian Health Service on the Navajo Nation. She is the founder and CEO of Mountains to Mountains, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing first-aid training and medical resources to underserved mountain communities around the world. Her work has taken her from the emergency room to the Sacred Valley of Peru, and her clinical interests center on preventive medicine, health optimization, and helping people build strong, capable, resilient bodies for the long haul.

Her own training reflects that same philosophy. An endurance mountain bike racer, Dr. Bouvier has finished on the podium in several ultra-endurance events, including the 25 Hours of Frog Hollow solo and the 24 Hours of Oregon solo. She is continually chasing Strava records and competing against her own limits, striving to ride harder for longer. As a physician, wife, and mother of two, she understands firsthand how hard it can be to prioritize your health amid a full life. That perspective drives a simple goal: to show up strong for her family and keep pushing her limits right alongside her five- and six-year-olds.

Dr. Bouvier is proud to partner with NORTH Performance because she believes in the brand and what it stands for: products she trusts enough to use herself and stand behind. Her mission mirrors the reason she became a doctor in the first place, which is to empower others with the knowledge and tools to find their health, optimize their performance, and become the best version of themselves.
